Several items hit the office inbox this week that we thought were worth sharing.
One, from our Amway Europe management, is a good summary of the excitement of our UK relaunch and also a good update on other matters in the market. We’re posting that note at the Amway Media Blog.
Two other memos went to Quixtar […]

We were in court today for yet another lawsuit.
And walked away grateful for another win.
This time, TEAM attacked us in McKinney, Texas, with yet another pile of overheated allegations. (We’ll provide document links later, when we are home from the road.)
Now, if you are asking yourself why TEAM – a Michigan-based company with Michigan-based executives […]

We received word today that former Quixtar IBOs Don Wilson and Randy Haugen have asked the court to dismiss their claims against Quixtar in “the California case,” Woodward v. Quixtar. This does not end the case — but it does end Wilson’s and Haugen’s participation in it. Neither they nor their lawyers have yet […]

Important and exciting changes are getting started at our UK affiliate. (Actually, our offices are in Milton Keynes, but we couldn’t pass up the headline.) Get up to speed with the facts here… and probably get ready for some folks to try and twist them.

We sat through the hearing in federal court in Los Angeles today. No rulings yet; we’ll keep you posted.
While we were there, though, we heard Orrin Woodward’s class-action lawyer, D.J. Poyfair, stand before the judge and declare that each and every Quixtar IBO was part of a “pyramid,” a “pyramid scheme,” and an “illegal business […]

The three plaintiffs in Texas were ordered into arbitration with the company as part of a preliminary injunction issued by a court today outside Dallas.

The following comes from a complaint Ron Simmons filed in court in Texas today. Haven’t had time to PDF it yet. The interesting part reads:
“The Woodwards and Bradys at one time operated a business support training business that functions and exists entirely independently from Quixtar, namely TEAM. The Woodwards and Bradys have resigned their […]

The class-action lawyers at Shughart Thomson & Kilroy — the same folks who lost all three of their arguments in court last week — would now like you think that what really matters is a round of legal motions that is splattering U.S. courthouses like an attack of spam email.
That’s what going oh-for-three will do […]

The news yesterday was pretty simple. The Kent County Circuit Court issued a couple clarifications of its rulings from last week. The judge did not change his rulings, just clarified a few sentences.
So, no surprises from where we sat; we thought the rulings were pretty clear in the first place. The TEAM legal team remains […]

Quixtar and our IBOs won in court today.
Three times.
The court told Orrin Woodward and the other TEAM members that we terminated last week that they cannot ignore contracts.
The court told him that he could not help himself to confidential information from our company and the trade organization that has suspended them.
The court told him that […]
