Re-re-re-reheated

Today’s Grand Rapids Press covers a legal hearing held yesterday in a Michigan court involving our company. Read the details in the article.

The Press is a quality paper, well-run and fair. Even so, this is a pretty good example of the kind of story that we think would be smaller news, at best, if one of our former executives was not running for governor. Why?

Fact is, this case has been filed in New York –and dismissed. The NY dismissal was appealed — and lost. The case was then reheated and refiled in Illinois – dismissed again. Re-reheated and filed a third time in Michigan back in 2004 – and dismissed. (That’s the decision being appealed.) The allegations that we somehow knew the future of WTO, the huge numbers being thrown around — sorry, it’s wild-eyed nonsense, legal theatrics. We can explain further if needed.

The appeals panel, of course, will come to its own decision. We trust the process will again uphold our argument that former shareholders were fairly treated.
